ABOUT THE ROLE

 

We have an immediate opportunity for an individual to assist with the provision of business bushfire recovery support as part of the Economic Development Team.

 

As the Business Recovery Support Officer, you will use locally lead development approaches to support the economic recovery objectives of the business community, stakeholders and Council while capturing information regarding to business impacts and challenges throughout the Shire. You will attend to internal and external customer service requests in a timely and effective manner, ensuring appropriate prioritising of actions and preparation of status reports.

 

ABOUT YOU

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who holds an Advanced Diploma-level qualification in a Business, Commercial or Management field and has the ability to deliver projects while effectively building relationships with industry, businesses, stakeholders and government agencies.

 

You will have the following qualifications and experience;

  • High level written, and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on economic development matters.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in delivering projects in partnership with industry, businesses, stakeholders and government agencies
  • Demonstrated experience of managing stakeholders and issues in a self-directed manner.
  • Ability to manage projects related to economic development and recovery.
  • Working knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and data and records management systems.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in Economic Development or Community Development field (indicative).
  • Current NSW C Class Drivers Licence

This is a fixed term (1 year) full-time position working 35 hours per week. Remuneration is $1393.60 per week, plus 9.5% employer superannuation contribution.

Selection Criteria Essential: Work in a manner consistent with BVSC organisational values and associated behaviours.
